Find New Jobs on LinkedIn Within 24 Hours of Posting
Don't miss out on the newest job opportunities. Learn the insider trick to find jobs on LinkedIn posted within the last 24 hours from your target companies.
Job searching can feel like an uphill battle, especially in today's market. Submitting your resume feels like throwing it into a black hole, never to be seen again. But what if there was a way to gain an edge? A way to get insider access to the freshest job postings before everyone else?
Imagine being able to see finance manager (swap it out for the job title you're after) jobs within 24 hours of them being posted by your target companies. You could be one of the first to apply, getting your application in front of the hiring manager before they're bombarded with hundreds of others.
Well, I have good news. There IS a way to do this, and I am not talking about job alerts. LinkedIn has a little-known feature that allows you to see job postings from specific companies/recruiters posted within the last day. Most job seekers aren't taking advantage of this functionality, but after reading this article, you'll be ahead of the curve.
Search for Job Title + "Hiring" on LinkedIn.
The first step to finding newly posted finance manager jobs on LinkedIn is to use the search bar at the top of the page.
But instead of just typing in "finance manager", we're going to use a Boolean search operator to get more targeted results.
In the search bar, type: "finance manager" AND hiring
Make sure to include the quotation marks around "finance manager" and the capitalized AND. This tells LinkedIn to only show us results that include both the exact phrase "finance manager" and the word "hiring" somewhere in the post.
While you can perform searches without explicitly using the AND operator—LinkedIn automatically assumes an implicit AND between multiple keywords—it is beneficial to use it for clarity and precision in your queries.
By including the word "hiring", we'll surface posts that mention the word 'hiring' in the posts. Most often, they are related to open job opportunities, not just general discussions about the finance manager role. This is a crucial distinction that will help us zero in on actionable job leads.
Use the Posts Filter
Now that you've entered your search term, it's time to navigate to the Posts filter. On the search results page, you'll see a row of filters at the top, likely defaulting to "People". Click on the "Posts" option to switch your view.
The Posts filter is valuable because it allows us to see content directly shared by companies and employees, rather than just formal job listings.
Some hiring managers and recruiters will post about job openings on LinkedIn before they create an official job listing, so this is a way to get a head start on those opportunities.
Some folks are also resharing their job postings on LinkedIn, so you can target not just “Posts” but also the content type “Job Posts.”
Enhancing Your LinkedIn Search with Advanced Keywords
To make your job search even more effective, you can expand your search string with additional relevant keywords:
"finance manager" AND (hiring OR recruiting OR "now hiring")
This search captures posts containing your target role and common hiring-related terms.
Location-Specific Search
You can add any location you want as well. Experiment with different location formats (e.g., "SF", "Bay Area", "Silicon Valley")
"finance manager" AND (hiring OR recruiting OR "now hiring") AND "San Francisco"
Remember: LinkedIn will only return results that explicitly contain your specified keywords, so consider creating multiple saved searches with different keyword combinations to maximize your coverage.

Take Advantage of All Filters
You've made it to the Posts filter - great! But we're not done refining our search yet. To get the most targeted results possible, we're going to take advantage of LinkedIn's advanced search filters.
Click on the "All filters" button at the top of the search results page. This will open a pop-up window with a variety of filter options. The one we're most interested in is "Author Company".
The Author Company filter allows you to specify which companies you want to see posts from. And here's the best part - you can add up to dozens of companies to this filter! However, it's advisable to keep the list concise to ensure optimal performance and relevance. Overloading the filter with too many companies may lead to slower search results or less precise outcomes.
Now it's time to put that Author Company filter to work. Think about the companies that you would most like to work for as a finance manager. Maybe it's the major players in your industry, or companies known for their great culture and career growth opportunities.
Set Date Posted to Past 24 Hours
We're in the home stretch of setting up your ultimate LinkedIn job search hack! The last filter we need to adjust is the Date Posted filter.
Remember, our goal is to find the absolute freshest finance manager job postings, ideally within 24 hours of them being shared on LinkedIn. The Date Posted filter allows us to specify that time frame.
Click on the Date Posted filter and select the "Past 24 hours" option. This tells LinkedIn to only show us posts that have gone up within the last day. Also, select "Sort by" and choose the “Latest” option to view the most recent posts.
By combining this filter with targeted Author Company selections, you've created a feed that will surface the newest finance manager job posts from your target companies as they're shared in real time.
Bookmark Search Results Page
Whew, that was a lot of filtering! But the good news is, you only have to set up this search once. All you need to do now is copy your URL—it's already got everything you need in there.
For example, URL: https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/content/?authorCompany=%5B%221586%22%5D. It’ll show you all the posts by folks working at Amazon (based on LinkedIn). All filters you will add will be set in the URL, so you don’t have to redo anything.
The great news? You can bookmark it in your browser! Just click the small bookmark icon in the top right corner of the search results page. Give it a catchy name, like "Finance Manager Jobs - Past 24 Hours."
Now, whenever you want to check for new job listings, you can just navigate to your bookmarked searches and click on this view. There is no need to re-enter all those filters every time.
Make It a Daily Habit
Consistency is key when it comes to job searching, and this LinkedIn hack is no exception. To get the most value out of this tactic, I recommend making it a daily habit to check your bookmarked search.
Set aside a few minutes each morning and afternoon to visit your search and scan for any new job postings. The finance manager roles that interest you most may only be up for a short time before they're filled, so checking frequently ensures you won't miss any great opportunities.
As you scroll through your curated feed of posts from your target companies, keep an eye out for any mentions of open roles, hiring needs, or links to formal job listings. When you find a promising lead, be sure to take action right away. Visit the company's website to see if the job is posted there, and submit your application as soon as possible.
The best thing is, this way you would be able to find people who are connected with the role, most often they are the hiring managers or part of the hiring team. So you could even try reaching out to the person who posted about the opportunity on LinkedIn. Send them a personalized connection request, mentioning that you saw their post and are very interested in the role they mentioned. Showing that proactive interest and initiative could help you get your foot in the door before the job is widely advertised.
